So you want to work from home, Now What?
60Considerations and types of Businesses
If you have decided to work from home you are in luck. There is no shortage of options. Although there are a few things you should consider before settling on the one that is best for you. Here are some things you should consider.
1. How much time do you have to put into it? Is this something you want to do for 8 hours a day or do you want something more part-time?
2. How much money do you want to earn? Do you want a few extra bucks or do you want to earn more substantial amounts?
3. Do you want to work for someone or do you want to have your own business? (Hint: Your answer to #2 plays a role in this one. The income potential with your own business can be much greater)
4. What type of work do you want to do? (This one is a bit harder since there is so much out there. We will look at a few options next)
Of course there are always more things to consider based on your individual situation but those are some of the big ones. Next, we will look at some of the options you have as someone who wants to work from home. The following are some of the more popular choices:
1. Becoming a distributor or consultant for a company. This is your own business where you buy products and search out customers to sell them too. This is done by talking to family and friends or advertising wherever possible. This can be a good idea if you have a lot of customers. If you don’t you can end up with a warehouse of products you can’t sell but have paid for yourself.
2. Answering surveys. This consists of going to specific survey sites and answering surveys for different companies or groups. Some surveys can average 20-30 minutes and can pay around .09 for their completion. This is not a good choice for someone wanting to make more than a few dollars a month.
3. Mystery Shopping. This is where you get paid either in cash, or other incentives to review a business in your area. This is a good way to get a free meal or earn a few bucks. The drawback is that there may only be one or two opportunities anywhere near you. You also have to consider the cost of your gas and time to evaluate these businesses.
4. Working online with companies. This is where you make money helping other companies make money. You direct traffic to them basically. You don’t call people, or send emails, or deal directly with customers. This is a good choice if you want unlimited income potential and want to be able to work from home whenever you want and you only want to work online. Fortune 500 companies are always looking for people to fill these positions. It cuts their overhead costs and you make money. You can do this by working with The Online Home Biz.
